Brothers Robert and Benson Nzali are master carvers who started carving in childhood, their first tools being needles sharpened on a stone.
These hand carved tables, made from a single piece of the Leadwood (Combretum imberbe) tree, are decorated with African motifs. The designs are incorporated into the shape of the roots and trunk, and are therefore, one-of-a-kind item.
The carver must duly consider the motif and its placement. One single wrong cut and all the work, often work of many months, as well as the unique piece of wood is ruined.

These desk tables are covered with a 1 cm thick antireflective transparent glass plate that preserves the natural curvatures and grains of the wood.
